Size GuideHow To Measure
For the most accurate results, measure yourself while wearing the undergarments you plan to wear with the dress. Stand straight with your feet together and use a flexible measuring tape.
Chest/Bust: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, ensuring it stays parallel to the ground. Keep the tape snug but not tight.
Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, which is typically the narrowest part of your torso (about an inch above your belly button). To find it, bend slightly to the side; the crease that forms is your natural waist.
Hips: Measure the fullest part of your hips and buttocks. This is usually about 7–9 inches below your natural waistline.
Shoulders: Measure the distance between the outer edges of your shoulders, following the natural curve of your back from one shoulder point to the other.
Sleeve Length: With your arm slightly bent, measure from the center of your back neck, over the point of your shoulder, and down to your wrist.
Length (Waist to Ankle): Start at your waistline and run the tape measure straight down the side of your leg to your ankle bone. This measurement is essential for determining the correct hemline for full-length dresses or gowns.
YouTube Instruction Video
To see these steps in action, I recommend watching this clothing measurement guide. It provides a clear, step-by-step visual on how to properly take your body measurements to ensure a great-fitting garment.
Pro-Tip: If you are between sizes, it is generally safer to size up for a more comfortable fit or choose based on the measurement that is most critical for the specific dress style (e.g., the bust for a fitted bodice or hips for a mermaid-style dress).
If you prefer a tailored fit, please fill out our Custom Measurement Form here. We will keep these details in your personal file for all your future orders! Alternatively, you can enter your measurements in the “Order Notes” section during checkout.
